In Frankly Speaking, Song Ki-baek is a news anchor and he comes from a rich background. The explanation behind why he is still working for a small job will be served in future episodes. Despite his status, the man is trying hard to be the best one in the field. As we all know luck plays a big role, and we can blame him for snatching away his dream.

One day on the set when he with his co-worker, read the news live, things happened that stained Song Ki-baek's reputation forever. The shots of his hair being pulled by the co-worker husband's spread like wildfire and it was a perfect time to bid his dreams of being a main anchor goodbye as enlisting him would be detrimental to the channel's reputation.

Fate had something else in store for him and the wheels of the same started running when he came across a woman who writes variety shows, On Woo-Ju. She's searching for a new face for her successful show Men on Run and Song Ki-baek seemed a good fit. After enlisting him, the man gets electrocuted and things change completely. From being a reserved man to the one attacking anyone who tries to cross him, there come many dramatic moments. The romance between the leads is currently of least interest, and I haven't noticed any chemistry between the two. What's worthwhile is to see how Song Ki-baek screws everything and keeps on apologizing.

The scene of the male and female lead sharing the lift will have to be the most memorable one. The reason behind saying this will be revealed once you watch the show. In my opinion, the weak start of this comedy show has rendered the efforts put in by everyone including the writers, actors, and makers useless. Wasting the script on such a beginning is futile. I admire the work put in by Go Kyung-pyo and Kang Han-na nonetheless this looks like a K-drama that's going to leave its audience high and dry. You'll be constantly expecting something great to happen, and it won't be able to match your expectations.

The effects of electrocution will leave the male lead Song Ki-baek with a bad career. It's never great for a news anchor to speak out about the things happening in his mind. Hence, the man's ambitions of becoming a main actor don't appear to be happening. This will lead him to live a life of self-doubt until On Woo-Ju saves him.

From the remaining eleven episodes, the audience can expect a great turmoil that'll turn Song Ki-baek's life upside down. There will be a lot of comedy scenes and by the looks of it, they'll not be enough to make it a successful show. After watching an hour-long first episode, the conclusion of not watching the show further seems a great choice. You don't decide whether the show is good or bad from its first episode itself, however, it does serve as an insight into how the rest of it is going to do.

Final Score – [6.5/10]
