Netflix has revealed a new and final trailer (watch above) for the Japanese-language series, Last Samurai Standing, while also confirming that acclaimed actor Hiroshi Abe has joined the cast as the formidable swordsman Gentosai Okabe. Based on the "Ikusagami" series of novels by Shogo Imamura, the six-episode series "Last Samurai Standing" will be released worldwide on Netflix on November 13, 2025.

Lead actor Junichi Okada, who also serves as producer, envisioned a series that would enthrall viewers with its powerful, cool characters and a story that keeps audiences guessing at every turn. “We wanted to create a world where you can’t help but wonder who will survive and how the game will unfold,” he shares.
Among the fierce competitors, one character stands out: Gentosai Okabe, portrayed by Hiroshi Abe. With his towering stature and enigmatic presence, long white hair, and unsettling demeanor, Okabe is feared by the other participants, who label him a "monster."
