For Augus, life has been full of ups and downs. He grew up without a father, and this was one of the reasons why he was a careless teenager. He never knew what it was like to have a father. This also led to many financial struggles the family faced without his father. You might wonder where Augus’s father is? Augus’s father was a war veteran in 1975 who participated in Operation Seroja. In 1984, he passed away due to a motorbike accident. When Augus learns about the manner in which his father died, he gets inspired by him and decides to join the army and carry on his legacy. This gives a sense of direction to Augus in his life. However, the path ahead isn’t easy either. Once he joins, he has to face seniors and colleagues and their apprehension. Every step of his in the army is full of challenges that he must overcome in order to prove his merit as a soldier. The battlefield is a race, and he must excel and save lives because now he is carrying forward his father’s legacy. Will he succeed and live up to the expectations?

Believe: the ultimate battle is a very common story for people who have parents in the armed forces and who get inspired by them to carry forward the rich legacy. So for many viewers, the plot can be highly relatable. This is one of the reasons why the plot can also succeed. However, the execution is where things falter. For example, the plot line is good, but there are gaps in the way it has been presented. Even Augus character is not fully developed. Honestly, his life initially looks very childish. How is it that someone wasn’t aware of their father’s legacy before? There are many questions like these that arise throughout the movie with no one to answer them with clarity.

Other than that, the movie dragged itself in many places. The battle scenes, though, were good and detailed, and were also shown for a longer duration, which makes it erratic to watch for so long. The acting is good and convincing, though, which helps us to ignore these small issues.  Ajil Ditto as Captain Augus and Adinda Thomas as Evi Sophia Indira, aka his wife, stand out throughout the film. They make it worth a watch, and that is the best part. We are also shown the full life of a soldier, including the parts of the wife. This detailed description makes the movie highly realistic.

So all in all, this is indeed a good one-time watch, which is very high on emotions and drama. If you are someone who likes watching such a film, this is your quick go-to watch. Even if you aren’t someone who falls in the above category but likes to watch something on emotional lines, “Believe: The Ultimate Battle” gives you exactly what you want. But mind it, for most of us, this can only be a timer.

Final Score- [6/10]
