I have never been so excited as I was for Goodbye Earth. As Yoo Ah In and Ahn Eun Jin, both my favorites, I was eagerly waiting for Goodbye Earth. The drama was confirmed to be released in 2022, but due to the drug abuse scandal involving Yoo Ah In, the release date was postponed.

I have been waiting for the drama since then because I was curious whether I would be able to see Yoo Ah In in the drama or not. But thankfully, he is in the drama, and the drama is extremely good.

I had high expectations from this drama series because Netflix original series that belong to the sci-fi category are usually very good and up to expectations. And I can say that Goodbye Earth didn't fail to amaze me with its plot, cinematography, and the skills of the star cast.

Starring Yoo Ah In and Ahn Eun Jin, Goodbye Earth is a drama that is based on the novel “Shumatsu no Fool '' by Kotaro Isaka. The drama focuses on Ahn Eun Jin, who portrays the role of Jin Se Kyung. It starts with a little kid searching for her mother, as she went missing while looking for their dog. Then in the next scene, shows Jin Se Kyung exercising in a school playground area with others, where they taunt her, saying that she can't coach the students anymore

Basically, Jin Se Kyung is a teacher who is very fond of her students, but things get worse when it says that an asteroid will collide with the Earth in 200 days. Within 200 days, people will start to migrate to other countries, as the Korean peninsula will mainly be affected by the collision of the asteroid.

One day, Se Kyung is having a video call with her boyfriend, who is called Ha Yun Sang. Yoo Ah In portrays the role of Ha Yun Sang, who is in America working as a researcher. When Se Kyung learns that Yun Sang is in danger, she finds herself in a tight situation. The people of Korea are also fighting and creating riots due to the collision issue, and things are also not going well in the United States.

When Se Kyung lost touch with her boyfriend, she rushed to Father Baek to seek help. Ha Yun Sang tells her to meet Father Baek before the video call is cut. Now, things start to get worse when the soldiers take Father Baek, now Se Kyung has her own back to make things right.

She has to do everything and go the extra mile to protect her students and boyfriend. The drama is extremely good; as I have seen many sci-fi Korean drama series on Netflix, this is now one of my favorites. I found myself very indulgent with the plot, and I didn't even realize it when I finished the whole drama. It has only 12 episodes, and all the episodes are available on Netflix.

If you are planning to watch a sci-fi show with great plot and cinematography, then this one is for you. I really loved the entire plot of Goodbye Earth. I hope there will be a second season of it.

Final Score- [8/10]
