This was a movie that most of us looked forward to, as the trailer had hooked us. But little did we know what was coming for us. People often say, "Don't judge a book by its cover." The same applies to a movie, where we shouldn't judge it by its trailer. So, without wasting much time, let's see what happens in this plot. The plot follows the life of an ace matchmaker, Lucy, played by the gorgeous Dakota Johnson, who looks stunning throughout the movie. She was in a long-term serious relationship with John, played by Chris Evans. However, after a point, she got frustrated with his lifestyle because he was a struggling actor and a part-time waiter. She realized that he wouldn't be able to provide for her, and thus the relationship ended. Meanwhile, she meets Harry, played by Pedro Pascal. Harry is a wealthy man, possessing both good looks and ample money. He is what she calls in their industry, a "unicorn." Lucy arranges for his brother to marry a girl through this matchmaking company and thus starts talking to Harry. He takes her out on expensive dates, tells her about himself, and bonus point: he starts liking Lucy. As they begin a relationship, Lucy cannot help but compare it with her past relationship with John, who, by the way, continues to be her friend. So basically, Lucy now has two men in her life: a rich unicorn, Harry, with whom she isn't in love but likes, and John, who she still loves and cannot forget. Who will she choose? Will she be able to make this decision?

Now, the plot feels simple. And let's face it, most of us went to watch the movie to see who Lucy ends up with. There is a chance that her final choice might leave you annoyed. Now, coming to what's wrong with the film...well, many things. Writer-director Celine Song thinks that this movie is a rom-com. While I highly doubt the comedic aspect, certain parts of the film do feel unnecessary, for sure. For example, Pedro Pascal's role. His character had a lot to offer than just being a "unicorn." Additionally, the film's pacing will test your patience. Once you understand who Lucy will end up with, the movie drags itself unnecessarily.  It goes on for so long that you might fall asleep. The plot makes the movie even worse because it consists of a series of impractical decisions made by Lucy.

Coming to the plus points, the cast is phenomenal and a saving grace for this movie. Dakota Johnson is a beauty in the role of Lucy. Her soft-spoken tone is aptly required. Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans add to the charm with their on-point skills. The characters' clothes also look nice. The highlight of the film is its background score. The music is subtle and elevates the entire movie. Honestly, it's the most impressive aspect of the film. Overall, audiences are better off waiting for an OTT release, as this movie isn't worth watching in theaters.

Final Score- [5/10]
