Ginny & Georgia comes back for a third season, and we can’t keep calm. With an absolute banger of first and second seasons, it would be fun to see what this season has. So the story picks up from where it left off. Georgia Miller is in her wedding dress with handcuffs on. She is marched up to the lock-up for interrogation. Meanwhile, her daughter Ginny gets back to her school with a tension lingering in the back of her mind, what’s going to happen next? From her, we come to know that the basic theme remains the same: Georgia is ready to protect her children and go to any extent to save them.
But why is Georgia in the lockup? That’s because she is charged with the murder of her neighbor, Tom Fuller. She learns from her husband, Mayor Paul Randolph’s lawyer, that she might be imprisoned without the grant of parole. All of this has an adverse impact on Ginny, who now resorts to self-harm by burning herself little by little with the help of a lighter. Now, here are some flashbacks that reveal that her nine-year-old son, Austin, had seen Georgia smother Tom when he was in a coma. This was a secret Austin only shared with his sister Ginny.
What’s even more surprising is that even though Paul declares that, according to him, Georgia is innocent, he does admit to Zion that he doubts whether she is actually innocent. But what is the truth? Is she being framed, or has she really done it?
The show is definitely worth watching. The story has been written in the most gripping way possible. We see a lot of ups and downs, and that’s the best part. There are great one-liners and lots of suspense, which keep us intrigued. The connection it has with its previous seasons makes it worth watching. Now, what sometimes happens is that if the flashbacks aren’t portrayed well, we might get confused. However, in this show, that’s not the case. The flashback scenes do look like flashbacks, and that’s the best part. We can clearly demarcate the same from the present. Credits for this go to Cinematographer Amanda Matlovich. Even the background score feels great as it fits properly with the scenes to give us the suspense that the plot makers wish to deliver.
When it comes to acting, the actors are at their par excellence. Each of these actors feels like they live and breathe the plot, which helps us to feel them even more. Along with their acting, the pacing of the show is good too. It moves fast, and not for even a minute do we feel bored.
Now that the weekend is here, grab your popcorn and get ready to explore Georgia's past and discover what the future holds for her. ‘Ginny & Georgia’ Season 4 has been confirmed and is already filming.
Final Score- [8/10]
