A few minutes into the plot, I realized that I was watching a bad remake of my favorite “The Princess Diaries” with slight modifications. So without wasting time, here’s what happens: Mavi is a young woman who has an adventurous life. Her boyfriend, Can, wishes to propose to her, but it’s made very evident that she isn’t interested in getting married. One day, her article is featured in a magazine that also has a picture of a baby Mavi, her mother, and her dead father. Mavi's grandmother, Yadigar, who is in Istanbul, sees it and takes this as a perfect opportunity to get Mavi to Istanbul and make her her heir. Mavi is tricked into going to Istanbul. Soon enough, Mavi’s mother realizes the deal and tries to stop her, but it’s too late. In Istanbul, Mavi meets her father’s side of the family, about whom she had no idea existed. For a naïve Mavi, this is huge, as she always dreamt of having a big family. Her grandmother, too, is happy to see herself with an heir. Meanwhile, Can is with her all through this. This is a case of true love. In fact, he finds all this a bit fishy. Yadigar now tries to train Mavi into becoming a good heir, teaching her tricks of the trade. The question is, will Mavi fit into this? Is this all real, or is she being dragged into an unforeseeable mess?

So the plot is very basic, very average, and has nothing new to offer. It’s heavily borrowed from The Princess Diaries, but the makers must have thought that blatantly copying that would not look nice, hence they have given it a small change. But that’s all. There is nothing new or good to watch. Even the acting feels forced. None of it feels natural. Everyone is just pretending, which also goes as a drawback for the film.

I really want to ask the makers why they didn’t get anything original for us. Why are they relying on old movies? We, too, invest time watching them, and these types of movies make us feel frustrated and annoyed. The pacing is very uneven. At the start of the film, the pacing is good, which is the sole reason why I could watch the movie for some time. After that, the pacing drops suddenly, which means that it has been dragged for most of the time. This leaves us with zero entertainment for the rest of the time the movie is left. So overall, if you are someone who wishes to watch. Yes, the plot twist in the second half is worth a watch, but its execution falters, which leaves us a bit confused. So while it may not be trash entirely, it offers very little excitement and a new concept to watch.

Final Score- [4/10]
