Even though the plot of “The Town” explores waters the audience has already seen, it is the execution that continues to maintain the thrill. From the start, we see two brothers who are in dire need of money. They have lost their mother recently, and one of the brothers wishes to sell the property in order to repay his debts, much to the dismay of his brother. Efe and Selim, the two brothers, are estranged but have come together to give their mother a funeral. However, one day they stumble upon an abandoned car whose back side is filled with twelve million dollars. Now, anyone who has some common sense will for sure know that it is no ordinary car filled with cash. It is black money. But since they are all in dire need of money, they decide to take the money, being fully aware that the owner of the money will come looking for the cash. Now here is another catch: the money wasn’t the only thing left in the car. The car also had two bodies. So now, the two brothers and their friend have to ensure that they get rid of the bodies, yet also keep the money safe with them at the same time. As predicted, this money doesn’t solve all their problems. Instead, they are now in deep trouble.

Now that you have gotten a glimpse of the plot, you will know that this plot is nothing new. Especially those who are big Bollywood and Hollywood fans, you have seen the entire plot. However, that doesn’t mean that the show is boring to watch anyway. It is definitely a good watch. It is fast-paced. For example, right in the first episode, we are introduced to the fact that there is a car filled with cash and two bodies. Even as the episodes advance, the pacing is continuously maintained. That helps us to watch it and also be intrigued by the plot. Even the overall length of the episodes is hardly thirty minutes. So it is very easy to watch without taking out dedicated time for it.

Now, coming to the acting, that is top-notch. For once, I forgot that these people are actors and not real-life people. Okan Yalabik, Yerman Gaur, and even the rest of the cast do a great job in portraying their roles as brothers who are neck deep in financial trouble, wanting to take money that isn’t theirs at all.

All in all, for those who like watching thriller shows, this is a great and must-watch for you. You will enjoy it and remain equally entertained right from the first to the last episode. Yes, for those of you who aren’t a fan of such a show, you can skip it. However, I still suggest and recommend watching this show based on its amazing execution.

Final Score- [8/10]
