Horror Movie ‘Vicious’ Officially Begins Filming at Paramount

The upcoming Paramount Pictures' horror film, Vicious officially began filming last Friday (March 22) in Ottawa, Canada. The film is led by Dakota Fanning, who is known for films like War of the Worlds and The Equalizer 3.

Directed by Bryan Bertino, ‘Vicious’ will take around two months to complete the production. The horror film is scheduled to wrap up filming on May 10, 2024. Paramount Pictures has already confirmed the release date. ‘Vicious’ will be released on August 8, 2025, in theaters in the US.

In this film, Dakota Fanning will play a young woman who receives a bizarre present from a late-night visitor and soon finds herself fighting for her life after slipping down a dark rabbit hole contained inside the gift.

Bryan Bertino has also penned the script of this horror movie. His previous writing and directing credits include The Strangers, The Dark and the Wicked, Mockingbird, and more.

Atlas Entertainment and Richard Suckle are the producers of ‘Vicious,’ while  Melinda Whitaker and Joelle Mervin will act as executive producers.

As of now, only Fanning has been revealed to be part of the cast. Additional casting is complete but will be announced at a later stage.
