Horror lovers, all assemble now. This docuseries will give you just the thrills you want to experience in life. Through this docuseries, we get a mix of cinematic views along with a document format story, which makes the overall experience very intriguing. So the series covers two cases, “Eerie Hall” as well as “The House That Murdered Me”. The first, that is the “Eerie Hall,” deals with a college student who was haunted by unforeseen forces. With this, the mention and monetary focuses also shift to Ed and Lorraiane Warren of The Conjuring series. We get to see how the unseen entity shakes up Chris's (the student) life. The episodes that make up Eerie Hall are documented well enough to scare and feel genuine while we watch them. The ending of every episode will leave you in shock and with a will to watch and understand what follows next in Chris’s life.

The rest of the episodes center around “The House That Murdered Me”. It revolves around a family who have been haunted when they move into their new house; however, unlike the first installment, this case feels rushed as it is given a span of just two episodes. Hence, I felt that it wasn’t covered as well as the Eerie Hall one. This case is also like any other haunted house case that we have seen in the past, such as The Conjuring, etc. So it may or may not scare you. As a result, it doesn’t give you many jump scares or even a surprise. However, yes, it is scary to watch. No arguments about that.

Coming to the cinematography, which plays a big role in this series, it is at its par excellence.  As mentioned earlier, this docuseries is a mix of cinematic experience, which is coupled with good interviews. This ensures that the viewing experience is top-notch. In my opinion, if the second case were given enough screen time, this documentary is one of the best ones that I have seen so far in the horror genre. Each episode builds up the suspense that leaves you wanting more. I also feel that one of the reasons why the second case felt short was that the makers wanted to keep it compact. However, the audience would have loved a more detailed version for sure. The pacing is even throughout the two cases. There is no rushing when it comes to pacing. Each scene deserved the screen time that was given to it at the moment.  This, in return, does make the entire show worth watching. The cinematic representation also manages to scare us and gives us a great visual to imagine what happened to the people involved. Even the sounds are so detailed, especially in the second case. Most of the time, more than the visuals, it’s the sound effect that has been given to us to the tee.

However, let me make a warning to those who aren’t into watching this kind of thing: if horror isn’t your area, don’t even go for this one. This show can give you enough scares that can snatch away your night's sleep. There are interviews, visuals, pictures, and most importantly, the overall get-up is enough to leave a lasting impact. When you realize all this has happened for real, it will give you goose bumps, too. Hence, if you avoid horror, avoid this one. But for those who love horror, watch it as soon as you can, and the Conjuring verse thrills yet again.

Final Score- [7/10]
