‘Go Team!’ (2026) Netflix Movie Review - A Chaotic Workplace Comedy

Team-building, especially in corporate, can sure be a great comedy of errors. Go Team! Works precisely on that line. When you put a group of colleagues together in an environment that isn’t very familiar, minus the comforts of the office, and ask them to bond together, that is when you get to see the professional rivalries, frustrations, and old grudges begin to surface. The Spanish comedy directed by Diego Núñez Irigoyen follows employees of a cheese company who are sent to a remote village for what is supposed to be a team-building retreat. Rather than finding a relaxing escape from everyday problems, the employees begin to discover that the company is facing mass layoffs. All of a sudden, the retreat is no longer about improving teamwork. It has now become a contest of alliances, ambition, and self-esteem.

The corporate setup gives Go Team! a chance to show a reality that many of us get to see. The film goes deep into understanding the absurdity of workplace language and the disconnect between how the employees are and how they are treated. Somewhere, the concepts of team spirit, professional development, and working together are made fun of in the plot. Other than that. We see how the remote setting of work plans well in favor of the plot. Removing the characters from their professional environment allows the film to expose personalities that might otherwise have remained hidden behind the office etiquette. Suddenly everyone’s hidden agendas come forward. Soon enough, we notice that the retreat is now a pressure cooker and follows a comedy of errors.

There are many good things about Go Team! For example, the plot is highly relatable to many of those who work in the corporate world. Anyone who has been in a setup like that would love to see this as a scenario that can turn up in our wildest imagination.  This isn’t some kind of make-believe plot. Rather, the possibility of this happening is very high. It feels as if the complaints of actual employees have been converted into reality.

However, even with all this, Go Team! won't manage to leave an impact on your mind. That is because only a certain section of professionals will relate to it. If you aren’t into corporate, this might not be a great watch for you. There are high chances that you won’t understand the plot, or worse, not enjoy it as much as the makers expect you to. So while you can go ahead and watch, whether you will like it or not totally depends on your viewing experience.

The pacing is also erratic. This means that sometimes things pick up speed, but that is only a fraction of the runtime. Most of the time, it is slow only. This can cause annoyance because, honestly, if the speed is not up to the mark, any plot won’t be fun to watch. So all in all, that part of Go Team! can also go against it. Other than that, the cast does a great job in bringing the plot to life. They are so true to their roles that it becomes hard to differentiate when the real person ends and the acting starts. So all in all, this is a good watch but with its own ups and downs.
