Life Hill Gayi is about two spoilt brats who didn't even have to lift a finger to get what they desired. Everything came easily to them until the day when their grandfather asked them to come to a small village in Uttrakhand, Panchmoli. Along with their father, Kalki (Kusha Kapila) and Dev (Divyenndu) are pushed into a life of hardships as their respective credit cards are blocked. The kids (who are very much adults now) are asked to earn their bread and butter. They're asked to restore a debilitated building into a hotel and whoever will do a good job will receive medals from the grandfather. Ultimately the one with the most medals will inherit the estate and the rest of the properties.

Good Morning Woods Villa is given a new face and shape by the same two kids who considered touching surfaces unhygienic and kept a sanitizer with them all the time. The siblings take their sweet time in adjusting to the environment of this village which as told by a child is unique in its own way. The majority of the first episode is about Kalki and Dev but a twist is there as a serial killer is roaming free and unluckily he seeks refuge in the Good Morning Woods Villa.

Out of the total six episodes of this Disney+ Hotstar origin series, the first three are slow and you might even get fed up seeing what's going on. It's in the second half that the audience will get to witness some sweet moments as the character development the writer had in mind was completed by then. We have a brewing romance, a competitive sister, and the reality behind why the grandfather was so adamant about this hotel. The audience also gets to know somewhat about the pahadi traditions and how close-knit societies work.

Mukti Mohan’s character Hima was like a breath of fresh air. She stood by her beliefs and knew how to work despite the hurdles. There's chemistry missing between Hima and Dev yet, they're seen sharing some sweet moments. If someone is seen bringing maturity and understanding on the screen, it's Hima and Mohan has done a good job here. Kusha’s role as Kalki was heavily inspired by her Instagram videos of South Delhi aunties. Almost all of us have watched those videos of hers and it's understandable why she was chosen to play this character. Divyenndu as Dev just like the other two did an enjoyable role. I don't think that the series has ended here as the characters have many more challenges coming their way. This sitcom is enjoyable to watch and though I had zero expectations from it, a decent job has been done by the writers and the actors. There might be some scenes where the series fell off track, but one can simply ignore that because what was being shown wasn't so bad.

Final Score – [7/10]
